This ambitious venture by Kermas Istria involves an investment of €85 million (£73 million), highlighting the growing trend towards high-end accommodations in less-traveled European cities.
What to Expect at Hotel Monumenti
The Heritage Hotel will blend historical charm and modern luxury, featuring 58 elegantly designed rooms that boast breathtaking views of the Adriatic Sea—offering either glimpses of Pula’s vibrant city life or the serene beauty of Brijuni National Park. The hotel’s strategic location on a former Austro-Hungarian military base captures the area's rich history while providing state-of-the-art amenities.
Guests can look forward to a host of upscale features, including:
- A large conference hall capable of hosting up to 400 guests, ideal for both business and leisure events.
- A wellness zone complete with a heated indoor pool, spa treatments, and fitness facilities.
- A fine-dining restaurant dedicated to showcasing the local Istrian cuisine.
A Focus on Local Talent and Sustainability
Initiated by entrepreneur Danko Končar, this project aims to employ local talent, addressing the pressing issue of skilled labor shortages that the tourism sector currently faces. With a 70-member team, most of whom are local professionals, the hotel is not just a place for visitors but a living testament to the community's spirit.
Future Prospects and Expanded Facilities
While the hotel is set to welcome guests starting mid-May, its grand opening will take place in autumn, coinciding with the completion of additional facilities.
