In a grand move that’s set to redefine luxury hospitality, Orient Express has unveiled its first hotel, La Minerva, in the heart of Rome. This luxurious establishment, developed in collaboration with the Italian hospitality investor Arsenale Group, opened its doors in April 2025. Located at Piazza della Minerva 69, mere steps from the iconic Pantheon, the hotel is a testament to elegance, boasting 93 finely appointed rooms, including 36 luxurious suites housed within the carefully restored walls of a 17th-century palazzo.

La Minerva stands as a beautiful blend of history and contemporary design. The hotel features travel-inspired interiors curated by artist-architect Hugo Toro, incorporating bespoke details like bedside trunks reminiscent of the original Orient Express sleeper cars, adorned with linens supplied by Rivolta Carmignani. Additionally, Mimi Kakushi will launch later this year, presenting a fine Japanese dining experience that complements the hotel’s diverse culinary offerings.
